Gain a detailed understanding of the structure, content and expectations of the Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing papers of the Occupational English Test (OET).

Take the exam with us once you are ready. Eurocentres is an authorised OET test centre. We will help you to select and book the right date for you. The three written tests will take approximately 3 hours. In addition, a 20-minute speaking test is also scheduled on the same day. The test is available once a month, 12 times a year.
OET Exam results: Results are published online approximately 16 business days after each test day. Official copies of Statements of Results can be downloaded from your online profile. You can choose which test administration you wish to download a Statement of Results for and this will list the scores you obtained in that particular test administration

OET covers all four language skills with an emphasis on communication in a healthcare environment:
Listening: 45 minutes
Same content for all healthcare professions. Follow and understand a range of health-related spoken materials such as patient consultations and lectures
Reading: 60 minutes
Same content for all healthcare professions.
Read and understand different types of text on health-related subjects
Writing: 45 minutes
Specific to profession, based on typical workplace situations. The task is to write a letter, usually a referral letter. Sometimes, especially for some professions, a different type of letter is required: e.g. a letter of transfer or discharge, or a letter to advise or inform a patient, carer, or group.
Speaking: 20 minutes
Specific to profession, based on typical workplace situations. In a private room, you will take part in two role-plays. You take your professional role (as a healthcare professional) while the interlocutor plays a patient or client, or sometimes a relative or carer.
