Gap year – a year full of language adventure
The gap year is a long-term language course of 22 to 52 weeks duration, and is ideal as a year abroad to bring your language skills up to a high level! What could be better than learning a language in a country where you are surrounded by that language? Thanks to the Open Choice programme, you can choose from different languages and schools all over the world. It enables you to attend up to two different schools and/or study up to two different languages in one semester. Or, over the duration of a year, up to four languages or schools. You choose any combination you wish: Make the most of the freedom!
Organise your gap year to fit your requirements. You can supplement the general language training with individually selectable focus lessons. For young people or adults, a year abroad is a wonderful opportunity to get to know the world. You can – in addition to living and learning the language at first hand – fully experience the customs and cultures of various countries. Valuable experiences, special friendships and new homes far away from your own are treasures that will benefit you in both your career and private life. These treasures will have an enriching influence on the rest of your life. Embark on an adventure, explore new language horizons. You won’t regret it!
