IELTS - Important Information

Proof of identity
You must present an original and current passport on the day of the IELTS test. We cannot accept photocopies (even if they are certified copies from a Solicitor) or letters from the Home Office. You will not be able to sit your exam without a valid passport.
If you are an EU citizen, you may use your National ID card for registration instead of a passport. Only EU citizens can present their National ID card instead of a passport. On the day of the test, you must present the same identification document you used when you completed your application form.

Under 18s
Please note that is a British Council  requirement that all candidates have their photo and finger scan taken on the exam day. If you are under 18 we will need your parent /guardian to sign a Consent Form giving us authorisation to take your photo and finger scan. The form needs to signed by you & your parent/ guardian.

Test fee and extra charges

The IELTS Test fee for 2017 is GBP 155 (Jan- Feb) and GBP 160 (from Mar onwards). You can pay by credit card or postal order (payable to Eurocentres London Eltham) (Payment Form).We do not accept cheques. Cash payments can only be made in person at Eurocentres London Eltham during our opening hours of Monday-Friday ( 9am till 16:00).

Cancellation policy
You can cancel your IELTS test if you make your cancellation request more than five weeks before your test date. There is an administrative fee of £30 for cancellations. If you cancel your test less than five weeks before your test date, you will lose the full test fee. If you are registering for a test date less than five weeks away, you will not be allowed to change or cancel your test without losing your full test fee.

Transfer policy
You can transfer to another test date if you give us more than five weeks notice before the date of the test that you are currently registered for. You will be charged a £30 transfer fee.

Late arrivals/Absence
On the day of your test, registration is at 08:30am. Unfortunately, candidates who arrive late for registration will not be allowed to take the test and will lose their test fee. If you cannot attend the test because of a medical emergency, you must provide us with a medical certificate (a letter from a GP, Hospital or a walk-in clinic) within five days of the missed test. The letter must clearly state the reason why you were unable to attend the IELTS test and must be appropriately dated.

Getting your test results
Test results are posted to you 13 days after your test. You can also check you results online by clicking here. We are not permitted to give test results by telephone, fax, email or text. If you want to collect your results in person from the IELTS Centre, please state this on your application form. You’ll need your passport when collecting results in person. Please note that we cannot issue replacement test report forms if lost. If you are unable to collect your results in person and you wish to send someone to collect them on your behalf, please fill in the Authorisation Form and email it to ielts [at] eurocentres [dot] com before results day. Please note the person collecting your results must present a copy of your I.D. along with his/her own I.D. and no results will be given without your authorisation.

Sending IELTS results to relevant institutions
You can request up to five copies of your test results to be posted to educational institutions, government bodies or an employer. The relevant addresses should be provided on page three of the IELTS Application Form. If you have already taken your test and would like to request additional copies, please contact us.

Results appeal procedure
If you wish to appeal against your IELTS test results that you have been given, you will need to follow the Enquiry on Results (EOR) procedure. To have one or more components of your test re-marked you need to complete an EOR Form and send it to us, along with your original Test Report Form and a £60 fee, to be received within six weeks of your test date. Once we receive your form and payment, we will send the appropriate test materials to the British Council to be remarked. The British Council will inform us of their decision within 6-8 weeks; we will then tell you the outcome of your appeal. If your score changes as a result of the remark, you will be refunded the £60 fee and will be issued with a new Test Report Form. If your score does not change, you will lose your £60 fee.

Complaints procedure
If you are unhappy with any aspect of the Eurocentres IELTS Test Centre service and wish to make a complaint, you can do so by sending a letter of complaint to our office detailing the problem. If you have a complaint on the test day, you can complete a Candidate Complaint Form which is available from our staff on the day of your test.
