Accommodation

In Cape Town all accommodation is carefully chosen to ensure that students’ needs are met. All families are located within 5 to 20 minutes of travelling time to school. The suburbs are located in the City Bowl and Atlantic Seaboard areas. The families are carefully matched with students’ requests to ensure a memorable experience in Cape Town. Our families are friendly, caring and will extend their hospitality, especially during meal and recreational times, where students will have an opportunity to experience the warm South African welcome.

Students can choose between staying in:

a homestay, (half board) (Arrangement B)
a homestay (half board) with private facilities (Arrangement F)

or between the following additional options available on request:

a homestay (half board) sharing a suite
a self-catering apartment
a hotel.

Homestay sharing suite: This type of accommodation is available in larger homes in especially upmarket and attractive areas of Cape Town. It has all the features of the regular Homestay, but offers more facilities such as larger living and bedroom space. The accommodation consists of a small self-contained suite separated from the family’s own living area. Suites are shared by two to three students, each with their own bedroom, and sharing a living room with TV and a bathroom. Meals are generally taken with the family, but otherwise the accommodation is relatively self-contained. Price: EUR 195.– per week.

Self- catering apartment: A range of fully furnished self-catering apartments are available to suit every budget. These range from studios to 1, 2 or 3 bedroom apartments, ideal for a small group of friends to share. Situated in security complexes, an apartment is perfect to create a home away from home. However, this accommodation is very expensive for stays of less than a month. Prices start from approximately EUR 500.– per month for a studio, but extra nights and/or stays of less than a month are charged at a much higher daily rate.

Hotels: The 3 star hotels are all within walking distance to the school. Breakfast is included and very often special rates are offered for long stays or during the secret season. There are options to be closer to the beach
