The free Loop Bus stops at many of the places you'll want to get to, including: Queen Street Mall, the Botanic Gardens, Central Station, Government House, and universities. Alternatively, you can take the more expensive City Sights Tourist Bus Tour (a "hop-on / hop-off" service) with air-conditioning and audio commentary.

Air: Brisbane Airport is located about 16 kilometres from the city (12 minutes by train, approximately 30 minutes by taxi).

Train: The Brisbane Transit Centre in Roma Street houses Brisbane's major train station. Travelling by train is generally more expensive and a little slower than going by bus, but it can be much more comfortable. Queensland Rail runs services to Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton and Bundaberg

Bus: Buses to Melbourne (24 hours), Sydney (17 hours), Cairns (27 hours), Adelaide (32 hours) and most places in between, leave from the Roma Street complex.

Main attractions Brisbane, rests along the banks of the Brisbane River and is an hour's drive from the ocean beaches. Whatever your interests, the capital city of Queensland has something to offer to you. You can visit fun theme parks, see the sights of Brisbane, try your hand at the many sports and adventure activities available, or spend a lazy day at the beach in the sun. Brisbane is also an ideal base for travel throughout Queensland and Australia.
