French Exam: Alliance Française 

5 x 50-minute specialised lessons per week

The Alliance Française is a more traditional examination much in the style of the Cambridge exams with a focus on testing correct usage as well as communicative performance. The Diplôme de Langue (DL) is a serious qualification for employers, and it is accepted for entrance by the universities of Lausanne and Geneva.

Tests listening, reading, speaking, and particularly writing, knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. A serious qualification for employers. DL is accepted for entrance by the universities of Lausanne and Geneva.

Levels Alliance Française:
  • Certificat Elémentaire de Français Pratique 1 (CEFP1). Final level: CEFP1 = Eurocentres 2–3
  • Certificat Elémentaire de Français Pratique 2 (CEFP2). Final level: CEFP2 = Eurocentres 5
  • Diplôme de Langue (DL). Final level: DL = Eurocentres 7
