All of our schools offer basic Courses with 20 lessons, leaving you enough leisure time. Depending on your preferences and duration of the holiday, sunny seaside resorts such as Malta, Cairns, Brisbane, Perth, San Diego and, in summer, also the English seaside resorts of Brighton and Bournemouth or Vancouver and Auckland, would offer an ideal countryside and town combination. London and Sydney. both offer a varied and exiting cultural experience.

The four Victorian school buildings are surrounded by beautiful, private gardens. You are only ten minutes' walk away from the sea and the centre of the resort. The school complex contains 22 large, bright classrooms, a lecture room and a multimedia learning centre. A cafeteria provides refreshments and lunches, and when the weather is fine, shady corners in the large garden are perfect for reading and self-study.


The school is located right in the heart of Brighton. Teaching takes place in 14 bright, spacious classrooms. There is also a multimedia learning centre, a lecture room, a snack bar and a student lounge


The Language school in Cambridge is located in an elegant building which was purpose-built. The architecture of the building, in wood and glass, creates a warm atmosphere. There are 25 classrooms, one lecture room, one large hall, a cafeteria and a beautiful patio. The Botanical Garden of the University is right next door. The centre of the traditional university town is just under 15 minutes away on foot.

The elegant school building dates back to the 19th century and is set in a beautiful garden square close to Victoria Station in the middle of London. Generous-sized, bright classrooms, a language lab, contemporary multimedia facilities make learning a pleasure. There is a snack bar, and comfortable student areas to relax in during breaks.

This large, well-designed building was purpose-built in 1979. 27 classrooms, two large lecture theatres and a multimedia learning centre provide ideal conditions for successful learning. In the newly-designed cafeteria, inexpensive meals are served. The Language school is located approximately 25 minutes from the centre of London in the nice and calm area of Lee Green.

1.  I hardly have any knowledge of the language I wish to learn. How can I make myself understood at the beginning?

If you have decided to live with a host family, you will be able to communicate with your hosts without the need for many words. To start you off in the new language, your school will provide you with a practical set containing words and phrases for everyday life.
2.  I am now at language level 2. How long will it take me to reach language level 6?

The rate of progress depends on several factors: e.g. the number of lessons per week or how many languages you are already speaking. Ask Eurocentres for the free "Pathfinder" language test that will provide you with detailed information about your individual learning progress.
3.  Is there a minimum age for Eurocentres courses?

Students have to have a minimum age of 16 to participate in the courses. In Australia, special conditions apply for participants under 18 years of age. For minors, we require the signature of the person responsible for the education on the application form.
4.  How will I learn?

The lessons focus on developing your ability to communicate in a foreign language: to extend your vocabulary and to improve your pronunciation, grammatical knowledge and accuracy of expression. You will have ample opportunity to practice all aspects of your language proficiency: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
5.  What happens on the first day of the course?


Your oral and written language skills will be tested. After meeting other students and teachers and after having a tour of the school, students are divided into classes. Your fellow students will thus be on a similar level to you.
6.  How large are the classes?

Eurocentres classes have a maximum of 14 students. This ensures maximum learning progress, as teachers can address individual needs in this size of class. Each class will be taught by at least two teachers.
7.  What timetable will I have?

You will receive an accurate timetable for your course on the first day. These pages show some examples of the types of lessons.

8.  Do I receive a diploma at the end of the course?

You will receive a certificate confirming your oral and written language ability. You will be graded in accordance with the international reference framework for European languages, which is understandable for employers throughout the world.
9.  How can I prepare for an examination like the Cambridge First Certificate or the IELTS?

Eurocentres offers several options for preparing for examinations. On one hand, there are super intensive courses for Cambridge and IELTS and, on the other hand, most schools offer special additional lessons as preparation for examinations (5 additional lessons per week for the intensive course). Preparations are offered for the following language examinations: TOEFLS, IELTS, DELF, Alliance Française, DELF, TRK1, TRK2. Detailed information will be provided by your respective school.
10.  I would like to study at a university in an English-speaking country. How do I best prepare for this?


Select a course that prepares you for the IELTS or TOEFL examination. Such courses will teach, for instance, how to absorb a lot of reading material or follow lectures without problems. As an additional service, Eurocentres and selected experts can offer you professional advice and assistance with gaining entry to a university or college in England. Eurocentres will also be pleased to assist you with gaining access to universities/colleges in other countries.
11.  How do I find the school on the first day?

If you are staying with a host family, they will show you the quickest way to school. You will also receive instructions of how to get to the school with your travel documents.
12.  How do I get to my accommodation upon arrival by plane or train?


You will receive instructions of how best to get to your accommodation with your travel documents. The safest and easiest way is to book a taxi transfer directly to your accommodation. Transfer prices are listed here.

13.  What type of accommodation do you recommend?


If you want to get to know as much as possible of the country and its people, we recommend that you stay with a host family.

If you want to have contact to international students, halls of residence are the ideal choice.

If independence is important for you, we recommend a hotel or an apartment.

14.  Are host families located close to the school?


Depending on the destination, host families are located closer or further away. In a large city, the average commuting time to work will be 35-40 minutes and this also applies to traveling to school. In smaller towns like Lee Green or La Rochelle, distances are considerably shorter and often you are only a few minutes walk away from the school.
15.  Where can I wash my clothes?


If you live with a host family you can, in most cases, use their laundry facilities. Where this is not possible, you can use a launderette nearby.
The halls of residence have coin-operated washing machines or have launderettes in the vicinity.
16.  What can I do if I do not like my accommodation?

First approach the guest family or the person in charge at the residence. In most cases, they will be able to assist you. Where this is not possible, each school has one person responsible for accommodation, who should be able to find a suitable solution. Host families have been carefully selected and are regularly assessed on the basis of uniform quality criteria. Communication problems can, however, not be excluded in all cases..
17.  Can I also extend my course once I am already there?

Generally, we recommend booking the desired course prior to the start of the course to ensure availability. Weekly course fees are also cheaper for longer courses than for shorter courses.
It is, however, at all times possible to extend a course or to select a more intensive type of course. Contact the responsible person at the school as soon as you have made a decision so that they can inform you about costs and availability.
19.  What leisure activities are on offer?

Eurocentres regularly organizes leisure activities such as sports events, cultural events, parties and many more. The school will inform you about the current program. All schools offer an interesting program of excursions in the country of study and abroad. If you want to take the opportunity to also discover neighboring countries, please check the respective applicable visa conditions.
You can also purchase an International Student Card ISIC from your school. This card offers many attractive discounts for travel, accommodation, museums, entertainment, books, etc.
