General Language Skills
Deepen your knowledge of the language and develop your confidence. This programme will enable you to further practice your language skills, especially speaking and writing. There will also be an opportunity to work on grammar points and pronunciation issues you have difficulty with.
Vacation & Learn
Deepen your knowledge of English and develop your confidence with a General Language Skills intensive or super-intensive specialised module. This afternoon English programme will enable you to further practice your language skills, especially speaking and writing. There will also be opportunities to broaden your vocabulary and grammar knowledge and work on pronunciation issues you have difficulty with.
For students who plan to enter an American college or university, and for professionals who need a high level of accuracy and writing skills for their career. There is a strong emphasis on fluency and academic skill development in this program. This course includes TOEFL preparation electives for some levels. Students who have advanced English proficiency have a larger range of electives.
American Language Programm
English language classes for students and business and professional people to broaden and improve your mastery of spoken and written English. In the intensive program, students have teachers who work in teams of 3 to provide students with a stimulating variety of activities and personal teaching styles. Classes are organized around weekly themes in American history and culture.
Communication & Culture
This program is for students with a general interest in improving their English fluency, ability to speak and understand everyday spoken American English, and knowledge of American culture.
This program will help you improve your fluency and conversational ability in English. You will participate in organized recreational and social activities while you learn.
English Language Center
The goals and purpose of the this course is to provide instruction to international students who need to improve their English language skills before beginning academic coursework. It also serves individuals who are not seeking a degree at MSU but who want to improve their English skills.

Immerse yourself in a new culture and really get to know the country with a range of exciting activities, e. g., literature, history, visits to exhibitions, etc.
Preparatory Courses for Abitur in French
This course will give you the skills you need for the German Abitur matriculation exam and the DELF language diploma offered by the French ministry of education. The content is based on curriculum requirements for the final three years of advanced secondary education (gymnasiale Oberstufe).
This course is a tailored training programme for advanced secondary and Abitur level French, and follows the standardised requirements for Abitur examinations (Einheitliche Prüfungsanforderungen in der Abiturprüfung, EPA) established by the Conference of Education Ministers (Kultusministerkonferenz, KMK).
Price includes film screenings, a school fête, a guided tour of the city, a visit to Clos Lucé (the final residence of Leonardo da Vinci) and the Château d’Amboise, a half-day excursion to one of the famous Loire Valley castles (Chenonceau or Chambord) and another to the nearby ancient university city of Tours.
La Rochelle courses
Price includes a guided tour of La Rochelle, a half-day excursion to the Marais Poitevin (an area of marshland nicknamed the “Green Venice”), a boat trip, film screenings, debates and various sports activities.
Because the course takes place alongside a number of other language programmes attended by students from around the world, you will find that the atmosphere has an extremely international feel. The wealth of excursions and leisure activities on offer during the course will also give you plenty of opportunities to mix with students from different cultures.
Depending on your study group, lessons will include:
